This piece depicts a penu from the Austral Islands of Tubuai made of coral<\/strong>, a traditional Polynesian tool used as a pestle to crush or prepare food. Entirely crafted from coral, both for the body of the penu and its base, the work highlights the richness and uniqueness of marine materials. <\/p>
